Get Busy Working for God; If Marriage is His Will for You, Your Husband will Find you in Your Purpose
I will begin by saying that I get it darling. I get
it when you question yourself if your husband will find you. “Will my husband find me?” That’s the cry
amongst many unmarried Christian girls who are hopeful to settle and have their
homes. I also understand that the stigma
that faces these single Christian ladies from both peers and from within self
is excruciatingly painful.
Don’t let loneliness creep in, get Busy Working for
God coz surely, if its Gods plan you be married someday, your husband will find
you. I know that sometimes you long for that
companionship of a mate badly. And it gets so difficult too. But don’t settle
for someone who the Lord doesn’t convict you about. I also get it that
sometimes you want a physical connection badly, to just hold hands, kiss and
cuddle with yours as you have those pillow conversation! Of what names you will
give your kids and why you will not have your kids named funny but old school
names like Epaphroditus. Don’t just settle so as to have these things.
Learn to
pray to the Father; To guide you to that person who is right for you and loves
the Lord above all else. Pray that God will give you strength as you wait. And
as you wait, keep yourself busy with the things of His Kingdom.
When you
are busy, you hardly find time to feel sorry for yourself and wallow in
frustration of being alone. Ask yourself what you are good at and give your
all.
- Could it be the children ministry that gives you so much joy just talking to the young ones about God? It’s a good place to also practice motherhood as you mentor and show the young ones the way.
- Maybe you have found grace to minister to your peers and encourage them that it’s possible. Be their accountability, tell those unmarried that it’s actually possible to find ultimate freedom and contentment in Christ as you wait. Tell them of the freedom and peace therein so that they wouldn’t stall their life waiting for the husband to show up. Tell them that it’s possible to have joy complete in Him as you wait for the right man to notice and hunt you down. Testify and encourage the body of Christ.
- Is it missions that melt your heart? Join the mission team. Go to some village in whatever place and have the joy of telling His story,Christ's story…
Whatever
the case, just don’t sit down and do nothing. Be found living for a kingdom
cause. Let your life move on and in the course of time as you pursue your life,
your purpose will connect you two.
As the
writer of proverbs shares, “An anxious heart weighs a man
down, but a kind word cheers him up.” Proverbs 12:25. I
hope these words from a sister will cheer you up and you will find rest in Him. I have been thinking of the
words of the hymn
I come to the Cross, seeking
mercy and grace
I come to the Cross, where
You died in my place
Out of my weakness, and into
Your strength
May you go to the cross and exchange the weakness that brings fear and
anxiety with the Strength of Christ.
Above all, “Do not be anxious
about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with
thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which
transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ
Jesus.” Philippians
4:6-7
Yours Truly,
Sisters Keeper.
